lakes

Titisee

Lake Titisee is located about 20 km from the Grüner Baum and is a popular destination for strolling, swimming and boating or pedal boating. The Titisee owes its formation to the Feldberg glacier. Nestled in the Feldberg scenery, it is an absolute jewel of the Black Forest. On the north shore is the spa town of Titisee-Neustadt with the famous Hochfirst ski jump. The surrounding Black Forest towns of Hinterzarten, Breitnau, Saig and Lenzkirch are interesting to discover.

Schluchsee

The big brother of the Titisee, the "Schluchsee", is also about 20 km away from the Grüner Baum. Here, water sports in all facets, such as wind surfing, fishing, sailing or diving are the order of the day. It is the largest lake in the Black Forest.

Todtnauer Wasserfall

The Todtnau waterfall is only 5 km away and, at 97 metres, the highest natural waterfall in Germany. Hike directly from the hotel via the Todtnauberger Hochtal to the waterfall or via the Wasserfallsteig to the Fahler waterfall.
